Mini-DV Tape

The Mini-DV Tape (鬼碑忌のmini DVテープ①, Kibiki no Mini DV Tēpu, lit. Kibiki's Mini DV Tape) is a key item found in Corpse Party. It is also found in the live-action movie, but the contents of the tape are different.

CHAPTER 3

Satoshi, after waking up inside the staff room, finds it on one of the tables.

CHAPTER 5

Satoshi, along with Naomi view the tapes contents after the TV turns on by itself. In it they see Kou Kibiki and his cameraman exploring Heavenly Host. Eventually they are attacked by the spirits of the school and run away.

The Mini-DV is found inside the staff room on the desk by Ayumi. After finding it Yoshiki decides that they should leave, but the fridge door opens and Ayumi goes to check it out. She find the jar of tongues inside and picks it up, realizing it belongs to the children spirits.

The video is later watched in the records room, where a working TV is along with Naomi and Satoshi. In the tapes we see Kou Kibiki, Shougo Taguchi and an unknown third person exploring the hallways of Heavenly Host. Eventually they enter the girls' lavatories and place the camera inside the room to record. They find a corpse and Kou checks it. Shougo notices a person in the distance and tries to talk to him. Kou yells at Shougo and Shougo's head is blown off his body by Yoshikazu. The other two run away.

The camera later only shows Kou alone. He tells the viewers that he will tell them how to go back home, but is dragged away and ripped into pieces by Yoshikazu before he can tell them.

Trivia

• This item was useless in Corpse Party: NewChapter due to the game being abandoned after being ported to PC.
• In Corpse Party live-action movie the tape is a combination of both Mini-DV tapes from the games.
• In Corpse Party (Ultimate), Shougo's and Kou's deaths are shown without any censorship.
  • Shougo's head is smashed clean off, while Kou is ripped into pieces by Yoshikazu.
• In Corpse Party: Tortured Souls, the tape doesn't appear, the second tape is shown however.
