When Ayumi Shinozaki and Naomi Nakashima are searching the Shinozaki Estate for information on Yoshie Shinozaki and her daughter, they eventually find this key inside a drawer in the adult's office. This key unlocks the door to the parents' old bedroom which eventually leads the girls to the Book of Shadows.
